Super Model

Sassy could pass for a gorgeous super model, don't you think?

I was trying to get her attention for this picture...She's looking at me like I'm making a fool of myself.

Transition

Travel:
Sassy has been great from the start. She jumped right into my car like a pro and later climbed the three steps that lead to my front door. I'm excited to see if those three steps are a sign that she will be comfortable with an entire flight of stairs.

House Breaking:
At home she has a little separation anxiety. She has whined a little when I crate her to go to the store, but I don't hear her when I come home (I'm thinking she stops after a few minutes). Sassy also has decided that she must know what I'm doing. If she's napping and I go to get a drink then it she pops up and comes with me. She also has only "counter surfed" once.  I told her "No" and it has not been a problem since.

Playing:
We have also gone on a few walks together. None of them have been difficult. Sassy keeps up with me and it takes nothing more than patting my thigh or two consecutive weak tugs of her leash to keep her on track. Sassy has the chasing and picking up aspects of fetch down pat, but then she takes the toy into another room for me to retrieve...I guess that's why she's named Sassy Shenanigans.

Encounters:
I took Sassy to a market at Grant park today as well. She was a little overwhelmed with the masses of people and dogs, but she was accepting of being pet by people that stopped to praise her beauty. She also had no problem meeting other dogs. However, she is not trusting of person or dog that touches her tail. If you do she doesn't bark, but hops forward to keep her tail away from you.

I think the best thing about Sassy is that she's both accepting and young. This is great because she learns and adjusts quickly.
